Vw 1600 e - Uxbridge

    Was just driving out of Halfords in Uxbridge and saw a dark blue one parked up in the car park.

    It was absolutely slammed to the ground, with a set of what looked to be black minilite wheels. Looked great i must say, you dont see many of them anymore... :thumbup:

    That is a 'type 3 notch'.

    Yea im good thanks mate. Hows the MK2 :thumbup:

    Was there this afternoon buying some sand paper and primer to refurb the BBS's.

    Did you notice the 1600e parked near the enterence, i think its one of the workers in Halfords that owns it.

    That is a 'type 3 fastback'...

    oh well, it looked the same as above with VW 1600e on the back. I googled it and that image come up.

    VW 1600e where models fitted with a 1585cc flat 4 and Bosch DJet fuel injection as opposed to twin Solex 1BBL downdraft carbs.
    For these VW Varients there are three models.
    The Notchback, of which I owned a '66 model
    The Fastback,
    And the Squareback.

    cheers for the info toyotec. Im just not clued up on the old vws. I wish i had got a picture of it now. Will try and get one if i get a chance:thumbup:

    Hey Rich,
    Mk2 is doing well, got afew things to do before winter sets in.
    Good luck refurbing the BBS's, I would love to see how they turn out.
    I didn't see the 1600en I must have missed it.
