a couple of 1100 Fiestas (mk2) and then a couple of golf drivers (mk2 again) plus I bought a rust bucket Porker and kept her for a year. Lucky not to lose a whole lot money on that "great idea" as she had very little metal left in the bodywork and was in dire need of an engine rebuild. Nice seats though!! She was (and hopefully still is) a 1975 porsche 911. I still have the 2nd of the two golfs (see sig) but for motorway miles I also run a BMW 635csi, the manual version. The 3.5 litre straight six makes for rapid progress with minimum effort. For long distance cruising I would argue this car is the best value for money you can get as they cost very little to buy and the insurance is peenuts on a classic policy. The car is built like a brick and the build quality is generally very high so that even after 25 years on the road she still feels very tight, especially at speed.

Nissan Sunny Saloon (caught fire and abandoned nr Jnc 33 of the M4) E plate Sirocco 1.6 GTi (towed from a snobby suburb of Cardiff for being ratty and never seen again) E Plate MK2 16v Sold to a BAD16v and written off I believe L plant MK3 VR6 caught fire just off Jnc 33 of the M4, removed by great expense by the police/dragon recovery and never seen again, broke me Physically, mentally and financially and then blew up for no bloody good reason. L plate Toyota MR2 GTi16s sat outside my house since march and has done about 8 miles since I got it, but I did buy some wheels for it last night and with luck will be up and in full working order in two or three weeks! I'm also driving a 51 plate Passat V6 TDi, but it's my Dad's.
