Took this off a 1.8 vw engine, how good is this as a baffled sump? and do they come on GTi as standa

Never seen one before but Vagcat shows it as fitting to pretty much every 1.6/1.8 VAG engine (DX, KR, 2E, etc)

I don`t think it would work as a baffled sump exactly since it appears to just fit around the pick-up filter.

 

That is just the later style of sump baffle. Came fitted on most 1.6 and 1.8 carb and injection engines from around 1990.
