After dash removal to do heater core bastard job ,wipers no longer work !!! ,checked 15amp fuse and all good ,pulled plug off motor and have voltage on high and low speed when selected on switch so that's a bonus as the MFA switch is pretty much impossible to find ,now thinking the motor might be faulty, might remove drive and jumper it out of the car with my test battery...I'am I on track doing this ??? ,comments very much appreciated TIA ,cheers .
P.S.bloody annoying as everthing else works fine .

    Good website; https://a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html

I would be looking anywhere near where to you were working for loose wires, disconnected earths, and at relays. There is a large earthing claw on steering column also.

Indeed, heater matrix is a b@stard of a job!

Thanks as mentioned tested the electrics to the motor and voltage over 12V on high and low speed side of plug, removed whole assembly from car and bench tested using my test AGM battery which is fully charged ,no action @ motor so disconnected drive arm from motor and now it draws a lot of current and trys to turn so no question it is seized.
Most likely the motor is dirty or the gearcase is gummed up with old grease ,had this with a rear mk2 one and pulled it down and cleaned and relubed it and went fine after .
Part number is Corrado specific however but after research I found cross reference of fitment from other models from 1991 - 2001 Golf ,Passat New Beetle etc ,might pull it apart and see what is the issue just out of interest ....you never know it might go again ?? but not fussed as I will most likely buy a used mk4 one, cheers .

Drilled out the pop rivets and removed the transmission cover and it was full of water meaning the end bush for the armature was seized ,these aren't really serviceable and not designed to be.
Stupid how the cover only has a crappy paper gasket and the motor is exposed outside the wiper cowl ,the Corrado never came with a cover over the motor .
    Cheers.

Received a replacement motor from a mk3 16v GTI ,for a reasonable price 1H2 995 113A part number ,tested fine and appeared to run faster than my old one did when working ,found the wiring into the motor had some sealer where the wires go into the motor which my old motor never had so being exposed to the weather that would tell me water has got in there and most likely cause the armature drive end to seize in the motor end bush .
Pissing with rain now but got a weather window to get the drive in which is typical Corrado is a bast#rd to fit , regardless happy I didn't have to buy a specific part for that model which if so would be NLA besides ,parts for these cars aren't exactly easy to find .
    Cheers.
