    Been workin in Cardiff a bit recently is it and keep seein a red mk2 with many mods including big shiny bling-bling wheels and white starsky and hutch-esque stripe !!:o

    Whaddya mean... it sounds AWESOME. If my car wasn't white id have starsky stripes on it in a flash!

    Seen a few A team type black with red jobs around too, but the A team wasn't my favourite.

    I am making my dodgem into the General Lee (even I would not inflict that on a dub)!

    He's taken the stripes off now. Did look kinda weird but cool in a i shouldn't like that sort of way lol!!!

    Oh no he hasn't!!!!!!!...the stripes are still there! I've just driven past it and I also stopped this morning and took a picture (will post later!) .
    Its for sale too!!
    Nice clean paint job despite the stripe...but like you said it does look sort-of-ish cool:)

    not my cup of tea, but i think its pretty cool. i think the work on the rear hastch is top stuff, just the back lights i dont like.

    That is SPECTACULARLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Any details on the price/spec etc? I shouldnt be buying any more cars as our garden is full but interesting to find out.

    yep, just been looking at it (still for sale - very nice big vw badge mk4 style on the tailgate where the reg plate once was. Audi handles too.it's owned by the guy in the shop where its always parked....says the bodywork cost 2k with ferrari paint!!!!!
    just as i got back in my van a mettalic green mk1 jetta went past too:clap:

    I used to see that all the time in Canton. I saw the guys working on it a few weeks back, outside the shop near Leckwith Stadium.

    TBH, its a bit of a shocker.

    so if that had a nicer set of rims on it done by a top company or someone respected in the vw community , would the answer be different ????

    ding-dang-doo retro look i loves' it (on someone else car)take a bow son a deffo break from the norm, hey you guys are even helping him sell it, he must be doing something right i mean how hard would it be to get the go faster strip off it's only vinyle (i pressume??) heat gun and cutting compund to get rid of any colour difference, presto!!

    The car just aint pretty, the strip can be removed as can the wheels but its got nasty bumpers and I think the interior is pretty tacky aswell. Expect he wants a fair bit for it aswell, but trust me Iv seen this car in the flesh many times and its s**t!!
