wur reg

    dose the wup reg have to sit on a alloy plate or a mettle one, as i have made a mettle plate to block the breather off on a mk3 2liter bottom end, some 1 told me it has to be alloy!! not sure dident wont to pay 35 quid from tsr???an if am right do i use a mk3 cambelt ?????

    Erm... Alloy is metal, mate!

    On an 8v it's bolted to the iron block. On a 16v, it's bolted to the aluminium head, so it probably doesn't matter much.

    Mike,

    Correct me if I am wrong....but on an 8V I believe it is bolted to an aluminium plate that is bolted to the iron block?

    The WUR bolts on to the alloy plate mounted on the block as per this pic.....
