Hi guys, having recently got a new camera for my birthday, which is of seriously better quality than my old ones, I attempted to take some pics of the car with it to get used to using it.
Unfortunately the operator ie. me, is not up to the standards of the camera! Have you guys got any ideas/tips and angles you use to help improve my pic taking skills?
I've attached a couple of my poor attempt pics, but loads attempts to look at of mine and other VR's can be found on my personnel folder here.... www.picturetrail.com

All comments/tips greatly recieved, on these pics and the ones in my folder....

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

Mike I have tried lots of non conventional angles and posted on my Picturetrail site if you have a peek, but hard to see what works and what doesn't when its your own pics, your always going to be critical.
Love that larger version of your sig you have posted on here.

How about a close up of the engine. What inlet manifold is that?

Pics look good to me, mate (and I used to earn my living as a photographer! [:$] - sadly not enough of a living to carry on doing it...)

Only thing I'd say is, if it's got a filter thread on the lens, get a polarising filter for it. Great for controlling reflections on non-metallic surfaces. One of the dearest filters to buy, but probably the most useful (and least cheesy!). Oh, and it'll deepen the blue of the sky - assuming the sky is blue and not bloody grey like at the mo :(

    Lurrrrrvely car, too!

Thanks for all the positive feed back guys, keep them coming on here and on the picturetrail account. I guess I just need to be a lot more experimental with the angles to get those "mag" look pics.
Unfortunately its only a Canon Ixus 4.0 Meg. camera, so no filter lense attachments (although I have tried using different sun glasses lenses in front of it!) But the pics seem so much better than my previous Sony Digi Dscp-9 although that too was 4.0 Meg. [:s]

Ps. Mello, its a Shrick variable inlet manifold that allows switching of the intake manifold at different RPM for a huge increase of torque/power. Best performance mod for the VR in my opinion.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.....

pRot3us: Had a Kamei (Seee pcturetrail account) and FK de-badged grille on it, but they just don't stand up to the mileage and abuse like the meatal standard one does! They both had more chips than a Vegas Casino within weeks of fitting, and constantly needed repainting [:^(] Hopefully getting a JOM metal Debadged grille very soon, so it will be back to de-badged ASAP!
