1.2 white nova B515 BBD, was sold on to make way for my first mk1 golf.
wasn't a bad car. the interior was a little garish though.

In 1988 I bought a 1976 mini clubman, for 275, (or was it 325?) and learned to weld 3 months later.

It was black (repainted from olive green - badly) and because it had "2-2" in the number plate, it was known as 'Desmond'. Or 'Dessie, the flying dustbin', as I bought it from money earned working on the bins, and I've never kept my cars tidy...

I wrecked it on a road rally and rebuilt it into a Mini Marcos shell, eventually, but it had acquired spax shocks, a Cooper Head, LCB manifold, rorty exhaust, fibreglass bonnet, and white Weller 8 spokes by then.

I had a VW beetle 1600cc I was convinced it was going to be a power house next to my mates who all had 1.1 mk3 escorts or Astras. How wrong was I :(

Still lasted 18 months or so till the MoT man suggest its was time to put it down.

Not a good car in any way... But still have a soft spot for them

My first car was a Volvo 340 GLE 1700 D490 HYN back in 1997 which was sold to a guy for 100 for drifting. The car had leather seats, spolier and a webber carb fitted to it. I got it from my dad who had it from new.

Don't remember the reg other than it was an 'L' plated Rover 414. Parent's friend from work sold it to me - was a good solid car with a Honda lump in the front.

Crashed at a mini roundabout a couple of years later...that was the end of that.

    Mine was a mk2 escort on a V reg, I think.

Bought when I was 16, did all the mechanicals for its test, only to be told it needed too much welding. So I scrapped it....

The following weekend went to watch a monster truck show..... And my car took centre stage

Started building it with my father when i was 15, finished for when i was 17.
Floor pan shortened by 17" from a 71 beetle, accident damaged manta ray body with the whole of the front broken off, altered headlight mounts for the larger wheels, rebuilt type 3 twin carb engine. Ran it all year round without a heater or roof, even through the winter snow, just bought a f-kin big coat and a hat.
Became well know in my local area for its colour, very loud exhaust and was a bit of a police magnet, most producers in one week was 3, never by the local plod though.

Sold, insurance and police made it a pain to run......and it ate gearboxes when trying to pull wheelies
