Hey, seen as there have been a few post with evreyone posting their mk3's. Lets have one thread with mk1's so come on then lets see what you got and who'll be the first to post pics of thier mk1.
Here's a couple pics of my Mk1 when I first took it out this summer just after i'd finished restoring it.
Oh never mind then, i think carl moffat is getting rid of him mint mk1 1.1 soon, it would be a great car for you but he's up north
Is he now??? I may have to have some bits off him. You know what he's getting instead? My '75 My'83 Driver which 'isn't' for sale
Here it is: It has a mk3 dash (nearly), 2 seats, boarded out rear and a tear in the roof lining at the back. Edited by: 1990
I guess he doesn't want me to pick up the interior from a blokey down south then, shall have to contact him and see what he's doing.
I'm not sure what his plans are, when you speak to him tell him that it might be better for him to pick up a cheap gti with a scruffy body and good engine and swap the running gear onto his. Mine is very tidy but nat as tidy as his.
1990 - Is this the mk1 he's selling? If it is didnt realise it was a driver, it looks well nice aswell. We got relatives up in manchester and visit quite a bit. Maybe if i was just 15/16 i seriously would have considered buying that. D'ya know how much he's asking? surly this isnt advertising. Btw very nice mk1's so far keep em coming in.
It is carls yes, though it isn't a driver i think it was a cl or something like that, the driver is a 1.3, like mine above Tis nice though, stripped with just two bucket seats.
Cool, still looks stunning for a 1.1, dont know much about the drivers or the cl's, im more into the gti's and campaign.
you wouldn't think it to look at though i get all the questions about if mine is a GTi, it ain't, even when it does say LS automatic on the back The GTi is one special car, though don't limit any choice on it having those particular letters on the back. I'd love one don't get me wrong, though i don't have the money at this point in time and i feel mine is a little more special than you're usual GTi, Hmm, can't actually remember why i started writing this, never mind. Happy Dubbing!
Here's my "GTI lookalike", it's a MK1 Golf Driver 1983 that used to be a 1.3 carb but changed it to a 2.1 8v (i was going to put the driver badges back on for a laff) Edited by: fthaimike
heres mine, i was so tempted to find out how much carl wants for his, but i must must must finish mine! mike
The fleet: But, with a little filler, welding, and bodywork, we converted the Fiesta into a "proper" car : Also now got this addition: Edited by: alanbe2
