Hi So I have taken the plunge . Bought an 8v GTI mk 2 golf. After owning a bay camper for last 20 years, and having had company car for 20+ years, redundancy gave me opportunity to buy myself summat I wanted. I will be on the 8v tech forum soon asking for help around squeaky downpipe. Will add pictures soon too As my vzi, just Kampers and late bay name is is viking80 thought I would keep same one.
Welcome. I love air cooled and have owned Beetles and a 911 but water cooled is just a little bit easier to deal with IMHO. I think it’s the conventional layout of water cooled that makes it that. Golfs in particular are easy to work on, enjoy.
