i knew Daz would realise that VRs ruin a cars handling and would go the same old well worn path of sticking a four pot in...
all the internal underseal off floor brace in dash frame in and extra drivers door bar start of the rear rad ducting, side air vent box almost done rad support and fan mountings most of the frame work done.... thank feck
Rear track is a little wider than I though it would be, thats on 7x15 MOs but I have a set of 8x17 MOs to go on. The inside is going for paint but the outside will have to wait till all the running gear is on so I can stretch or alter the rear arches. The rear hubs are MK2 16V fronts with 5 stud flanges fitted (off the front of the old Syncro) which will have the 305mm discs and Brembo 4 pots. Once its done Ill decide on what to do with the 10x 15 MOs I already have, if the 17s suit it Ill sell all the 15s and replace them with more 17s. ARBs are a pair of Eibach front Corrado VR items ordered as a pair of fronts through GSF, the mounting of the rear bar may differ from the front depending on whether I use the Passat VR or Corrado VR arms on the rear.
champion job big fella wonder if an aquamist system would do to dispense the fray bentos at a sufficient rate
I have to own up, its taken ages to get it to this state. I was hoping to have it ready for Croft but a heavy workload has slowed things down by months, I was hoping to have it in the body shop in October and its still not ready Ill keep plodding away during the year but no predictions as to a date when its likely to hit the tracks [:^(] i was going to wait until it was ready before posting anything but boredom has got the better of me
nah - you just decided that a four pot was the way forward - sadly senility meant you're doing it twice... (just need to clean up the coke spillage from the cage/pies/fray bentos comments!) Awesome work Uncle Daz - can't wait to see if it makes it out on track or just doughnuts round the paddock all day!
K'inell !!! Awesome project mate ! You can tell just by the pics that heaps amount of work has gone into it, but will be worth it in the end no doubt ! Good luck & look foward to seeing it at the shows !
