Well my Pulse Adaptor arrived today .

connected it all up LED Flashing to indicate it was sensing Injection Pulse but when i connected the timing light to the pick up loop the timing light didn't flash ?

checked timing light on MK1 and it worked fine .

    any ideas ?

what are you connection it to? What you timing?
doesn't a timing light pick up the HT lead, via a inductive coil

Yep, that`s why you`d use a Pulse Adaptor as an alternative... ;)

Timing mark at the rear as detailed by plastic pipe , VW manual says it should be at the front.

Hopefully i will get hold of a DTI Gauge but may have to buy a Pulse Adaptor to get the timing perfect.

Just spoke to Gunson and its a faulty unit so i need to go through the hassle of sending it back and getting the replacement.

Inductive Pick Up that's not working.
