So I'm fed up of mauling with engines on one of my cluttered benches or a pallet I therefore decided to build an engine stand this afternoon spent an hour and did this Photo bucket not playing part 2 to follow
Look at the precision fit ! The close tolerances ! The smooth grinding ! The metal cleaned before welding ! Oh hang on, I was looking at another thread... lol
It's a flippin engine stand doesn't need to be precise just strong to hold an engine Part 2 BUILT NOT BOUGHT BOYS lol
Micky, post #6, first pic. I think you missed with the grinder and scratced the post mate. Actually, it looks better with that.
I think it needs a longer locking bolt too. lol I mean, why use a simple pin you can drop in to lock the rotation ? Surely rooting for a spanner and trying to nip up a bolt whilst the engine is trying to turn is much easier.
Micky, that big round thing on the forklift truck. Is that so you can make a billet flywheel for your VW Golf RE2000 ????
Putting kids to bed and sorting a projector and computer with a couple of mates Back in a bit after seeing the Mrs
