I know the post is quite old already. But I'm doing some research on the V8 DTM from the beginning of the 90's and it looks like these uprights are from this car. The A4 STW had the multi-link / double wishbone setup at the front, and these definetly look like McPherson, don't they? HPR, do you know the source of this picture?
These uprights were used in a number Audi Sport racecars ... V8 / 90 Imsa / 80 ROC and a few more ( or atleast very similar in design ) Above picture was once in an advert.... A80 STW
fixed missing images and re-uploaded, while I'm here some more from a folder of random pics on my hard drive:
A rare find. Gemini Golf MK3 Kit Car uprights for sale recently on race cars direct and sold in days. Were 1700 euro a pair. Possibly Andre at Gemini might have some new on the shelf still. But apparently much heavier than other options according to Hugo. But worthy on being added to this thread.
Warren Heath Engineering now manufacture replacement hubs for competition from highest specification material 300M /S155 or S99G / EN24W. Will post example photo of similar item for Mk3 / Vento cup car as soon as I work out hiw Mk1 / Mk2 also available.
Frazero Uprights Running RS6 bearings. Taken by Sam Fish The following photos were sent direct from Alan Saywer in 2018 and were taken when the car was first built. I always wonder if they were originally designed for my VR6 due to the damper body pick up points.
