scirocco or cabrio axles with 100 mm inner cv joints will fit. you have to cut and weld the right hand side mount (close to timing belt), other three are ok.
1. depends on the chosen gearbox. post-84 mk1 cab/rocco gti and mk2 use 100mm, so need the post-84 cab/rocco shafts to match. if you fget a tintop gti box these are 90mm, so can use 90mm 1.5-1.8 mk1 shafts. can also convert the box between 90 and 100mm, so long as you get the right flanges to suit box as early and late differ: http://brokevw.com/020flange.html http://brokevw.com/flanges.html 2. yep, can use the old one once removed flip it the other way and weld to 1.5-1.8 position, but need to add some extra steel to fill a gap or weld later bracket. some pics for reference and other bits n bobs you may find useful: https://www.clubgti.com/forums/inde...mk1-cabby-several-years-in-the-making.186766/ you also need to change your steering rack if going 020 box, since 1.0-1.3 and auto ones dont have one of the brackets on it needed for linkages to bolt to
