There is one ball on the gear lever and another above the steering rack on the relay shaft.

Going to copy the 'nylon ball' idea, thanks

34mm diameter, 27mm high with radiused "corners", I'm not sure if the centre is 10mm or slightly more. I left it a tight fit on the relay shaft pin, and put a dab of glue on, and it never moved. It can't fall off in place anyway.

Sometimes the 34mm needs adjustment, I've seen them from 33.5 to 34.5 in the "gate". But with the nylon, a quick rub of sandpaper sorts it.

Arg! Guys how do I get past this bit! 45 mins can’t get any further any thoughts? Tried hot water to make it a bit more malleable..

Grind them down, and use bolts with nuts or hammer on new rivets. Mine came with two rivets.

Drill the rivets and pop new ones in, or clamp it in a vice

Yeah, mine only came with 1 rivet which i assume is just a mistake from the seller. If bolt and nut works, ill do that!

I used a short bolt and nut, M5 I believe.
It seemed better than hammering away with two rivets, and makes replacement the next time so much easier.

I'm usually able to squeeze it in there with a little lube.

Stop sniggering you bunch of perverts.

This was how I did my first one.

drilling out 2 rivets takes like 10 minutes max and is so much easier!
