My wind deflector is gone very rusty and where is connects to the fastner has broken off. I might as well replace both fastners and the wind deflector - Do VW still supply them or can they be got cheaper elsewhere? Also can someone else confirm the vw part numbers with me: 171 877 651B - Wind deflector (does this include the 2 guide pieces and the 2 springs? 443 877 681D and 443 877 682D -left and right fastners. Are they dear?
i got one of the fastners from a scrappie if thats anyhelp for a friend then just respray it and jobs a goodun or try gpc, gsf, euro carparts Edited by: Simon
I got some replacement parts for mine about a year ago, the side bits that pull the deflector down are now made of stainless or stuff that looks like stainless, dunno about the deflector, anyway I'll have a look on EKTA as the ones on my new GTD need replacing.
I got one from vag a couple of years ago, it was only about 3 (one side lift thing only) Edited by: 1990

Jamesd the part number I got off ETKA are 443 877 681 D FASTENER LEFT X 1 443 877 682 D FASTENER RIGHT X 1 171 877 651 B WIND DEFLECTOR X 1 according to the diagram this includes 811 877 659 GUIDE PIECE X 2 & 861 877 695 SPRING X 2 Sorry about the delay been working on other peoples cars mostly all week. Part numbers are off ETKA Ver6 (2003) using a 1991(M) Golf.
