x box is a pc in a console box with all the non gaming bits removed. I'd prefer to have a pc that works as a pc as well tbh.

wonder how noisy these new ps2s are? I couldnt believe how loud the old ones were, and people were using them as dvd players! [:s]

ah yes, but then the 2nd hand market will be flooded with cheap as chips "old" PS2s being sold by idiots who want the new version (even though by the looks of it, it wont actually do anything the old one wont do).

& then I might finally buy myself one.

a hdd is an excelent peice of kit for a console

especially the way the xbox uses its one, my mate chipped his and has an 80 GB in there with loads of games and movies and emulators stored on the hard drive really clever.

and jeff if you are a person who plays games alot its much better to have a dedicated games machine, than a pc aswell, the pc just gets bogged down woth crap and a pc of similar spec would naver have the playerbility of the console

i just dont understand why eveyone thinks the ps2 is so great when the xbox clearly beats it in every way shape or form

just because its sonys almight ps2 means nothing really at the end of the day the xbox is just better
