Anyone know where I can get oversize big end conrod bearings for a Mk2 gti 16v?

I need 0.5mm oversize and GSF only do 0.25mm and Eurocar parts don't do oversized ones.

Have you tried vag? May be a little expensive.

Ring round a few engine reconditioners, they may be able to help you?

Weird. You could perhaps call the Worthing branch where I got mine from on 01903 234931 and ask if they ship things between stores. The Worthing branch get the bearings from a place in Southampton who are a large supplier of bearings for the south east.

I tried to get this company's address but they wouldn't tell me!! [:x]

Actually, you could do a search on bearing manufacturers in southampton on yell.co.uk You might get lucky.

VAG ones are about 28 according to ETKA for .5mm undersize part no.034 105 713.
I assume that you do not want main bearings also.
