I have a Mk3 Variant 1,6 101hp with an 020(02K, CJF) It has a 200mm clutch assembly.. The clutch is worn and is gonna be replaced, and i was wondering if i should replace it with a stronger/better one. Had this one in mind: http://store.blackforestindustries.com/euliflandclk.html But any experience with a LW flywheel on such a "torqueless" engine? There`s not much "ompfh" in these engines below 3500rpm, so maybe a lighter flywheel would make it rev better? Or will i be better of by finding a second hand 210 flywheel and fitting a regular 210mm clutch kit for a daily? The price for the BFI kit is in fact cheaper than a standard 200mm kit here i Norway, so the price is of no concern Pardon my English
just get a regular good quality sachs or luk 210mm clutch & flywheel, no need for anything more on your car. works fine on 150bhp abf installs, so it'll be ok for you
Thank you So to convert to 210mm spec i need: 210mm flywheel (second hand will suffice i guess?) New bolts Clutchkit for a 1,8(ABS) since they use 210 spec, with Pressure plate, clutch plate and bearing.. Anything else?
thats it! sachs clutch kit will come with the 6 pp bolts plus the correct clutch spline grease, im not sure if the 12 flywheel bolts are the same but I bet they are
