VAg stuff or MTL, but to be honest I think any good box oil will do, they can't really sell something that ain't gonna work( apart from those w4nk performance diodes!! )

Hey Brookster. Where did you get you gearbox rebuilt? Does it sound any good?

TSR did mine for me back in August but it sounds terrible and I don't think it'l last very long. Can't be bothered to take it back to them because I'm on the other side of the country and it costs me about 200 in fuel/train fare to drop it off/pick it up.

Need to find a decent gearbox builder.

    Quaife...cheap????? Your joking right [:s]
How's their warranty too, heard some real bad stuff from them.
Had to ring them in the past, and they wouldn't remove their heads from their bottoms!

I'm using Silkolene Race stuff in mine, not sure about it's performance yet - the box already had 130k+ on, crunches 2nd anyway and was lying around in my garden for 2 years.

    It works though :)

Well i think 125 for fitting my Atb with new gaskets, Bearings and oil seal's is quite cheap. I've not heard any bad feedback on there gearbox rebuilds only the boxes they've made for other manufacturers. Or will i be told otherwise.

As for box oil though, get some saw dust in there......it'll keep things nice and quiet ;)

Another happy Hotgolf customer here ;)

I had my box done elsewhere and it was nothing but trouble, Ianv kindly broke it for me at Snetterton in Sept [:$]

So decided to take it to Mart to see what he thought, he sorted it all out and supplied the bits to repair it for a good price, and found other issues which probably caused it to fail in the first place.

Steved's job does sound cheap. Fair play tho. ;)

I just use Comma EP80 in my box, it's free from work, all this fancy oil is ok, but at the end of the day no fancy oil will stop an 020 failing, they all break SOMETIME!
