Hey guys, As above, one of the lads has a mk2 8v gti. On a recent journey the had been a little awkward selecting gears, but not all the time. They arrived and parked up, having manoeuvred in first to park, car was left in neutral. On returning to the car dan tried to select reverse, but the car tried to gi forward and stalled, a few more goes and some investigation led him to believe it was stuck in 5th. Having got the car home I went over for a look and the car appears to be in 5th, but you can move the selector on the gearbox to any gear, but the box internally remains stuck in 5th. Any ideas, guys as I've not experienced this with an o2o before.
