02A Gear change

    My change on my 02A (cable change) box is very notchy. are there any kits to replace worn parts on these boxes?

    you can buy the bits individualy...have you greased it up and changed to redline mt90?

    yeah mine still pants with new bits and new oil...although its better

    TBH, I think the 02A 'box (like in my car too) is absolute testicles. Super long throw, notchy (even with redline oil) and absolutely mad ratios that would better suit a Lambo Murcielago torque monster - 70km/h in 1st, 110km/h in 2nd, 160km/h in 3rd etc etc - crazy!!! and that's not even on the limiter...!!

    Hmm, and I thought it was the clutch that was going! Third gear can be a right pain in the backside to get sometimes and I have to put the clutch pedal to the floor to change - only done 68K too! Me and gearboxes don't go well together...

    I agree with the 3rd gear thing! The gap in time between 2nd and 3rd is about equal to a Holden's 0-100km/h time!
