Im looking at upgrading from a tired 02J to an 02R in a mk2 GTI, currently using a speedo cable to drive the standard clocks. Looking at the 02R, there is the hole for the speedo drive, but there doesn't appear to be anything to drive the end of the cable, you can just see the end of the diff in there. Is there a way to add a speedo cable to a 02R, preferably without stripping the box?
Polo/fabia I think? Thought they have different mounts and 108mm shafts, but not 100%. 5 speed, not 6.
