so time to get my butt into gear and get my race car back together. Engine and head been fully rebuilt by GasNGears and faults found by Mart where sorted by him . As fuelling was the cause of piston damage from detonation I need to get it right this time . Squashed fuel lines could have contributed but as I’m aiming for good numbers from my Kjet set up do I upgrade the under body fuel pump for a 044 Motorsport pump and incar swirl pot ? Or just stick a new pump or checked pump in the original under floor swirl pot ? Thoughts please Thanks
Do a flow test on your existing setup? To have a quantifiable result is always better than a thousand guesses Jon
Couple things. Lack of fuel pressure and flow is likely to result in a lean out and PI before det. Unless your K Jet pump is tested and it determined it cannot supply control and delivery pressure, fitting another pump because of its lable or brand, will not solve or pre-empt any fears.
