Maybe he took the original engine for his Mk3 , and put in his old engline... Sounds like a plan to me...
THey might as well have fitted a TDI. Still cheap insurance, but it'd be loads quicker and more economical.
What I meant was it was a shame to 'cripple' an already good car with a worse engine than it was originally designed to have.
and i thought my 1.8 16v was flat! but a 1.4 your takin the pxxs arnt you? my younger brothers 205 xs( i know!) would eat it! how embarrassing!
