http://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-Expert-Metric-Chrome-Vanadium/dp/B0001K9QDG got this through the post today. after lots of searching i found a kit that was cheap and had all the bits i wanted. 4mm-13mm inclusive with a few .5mm measurements for fun. (nothing worse than needing a socket and finding your kit doesnt have that size) it has a bunch of deeps too. ratchet feels good and the sockets are all six siders so they rule. not sure if draper 'expert' has a lifetime warranty like other makers do. Contents: 12 Draper Expert HI-TORQ 6 point sockets size: 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, 12.0 and 13.0mm 7 Draper Expert HI-TORQ 6 point deep sockets size: 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 13mm reversible ratchet with quick release button 2 extension bars size: 75 and 150mm sliding tee bar universal joint spinner handle definitely seems to be the most comprehensive and cheap kit out there will surely be seen in action on Bula's Audi, the GPES mobile and ricky bobby's motah some time in the future
draper expert have a lifetime warranty but they inspect the tools so much its hard to get them xchanged found the same with snap on halfords professional on the other hand jus say yer jus go get another1 from the shelf
fooking 1/4 drive universal joint broke at the weekend undoing an thermostat flange bolt. useless crap. the pins in the joints were sliding out. one must have come out all together and killed the UJ. i dont think my set, despite being draper expert has the warrenty. utter gayness.
really? when 1/4 barely fitted in the gap and a UJ was having to have been used? youll have to let me borrow your uri geller mechanic's hand book
Extension Small Are Avlable U Know And On A Thermosat U Jo King 1/4 Are For Arch Liners And Other Gay Tigntened Bits As In 2nm Tight Not 30nm Im Not Suprised It Gave In Under The Sweat Of Over Undoing That Bolt
thermostat housing flange? 10-15nm innit? so yeah, its quite normal for the 1/4 drive set to get those off. just need a better uj. my 1/4 set has done much more serious stuff, the ratchet is great, that has handled a lot of torque too. but the uj was just butter
thats why therses other options in uj that you broke you gorilla and small extensins and wobble adapters that are still 1/4 3/8 1/2 versions and extensions that have wobble ends
We use these Facom kits at work... ...very strong, and can take a lot of abuse. So much so, I got one for 30 quid off ebay. You can also get them here (third from the top); http://www.primetools.co.uk/index.php?page=products&cat=209&start=61&num=20
i use teng, good quality and lifetime warranty! That facom kit looks the nuts, guy up the road was selling a full facom chest of tools wish i had the cash!
