    hello
i tried to dismantle an old 1.6 i got, and found there's not enough space to put a socket on the the bolts of caps 1 and 5.
    how is it done?

You need to take the alloy seal casings off the ends of the block.

    lol, how studpid i am:).
now i tried to remove the fixture plate (it came from an automatic car), released all 6 bolts and it won't come out even after hammering on it although it can be rocked. i saw in vagcat that there might be some spring pin.
