my mk4 golf has just started miss firing but it has had the emmision workshop showing on the dash since i got it a few months ago.
If it's a 1.6 16V they suffer from lamda and coil pack issues - you need to get it on vagcom first though
if the mixture has been out for a while dirty valves cause a soft missfire all plastic pipe work in engine bay in one piece ?
