i know it wont really be worth it but i will just be looking for cheap performance upgrades that are possible for this car, i am assuming 1.8 pistons and crank can be added to increase the engine size, and was wondering if a 2.0L gti cam can be used? cheers, and can anyone else give any scrap yard upgrades, not really looking for anything amazing in performance just something to sorta satisfy for a couple of years.
if it's the 1595cc block, the pistons are the same as the 1.8 anyway, if it's the 1598 engine, which is from 2000 i think, then it's a different lump altogether. the 1595 came as 75 or 100 bhp, if you have the 75 you could maybe get some bits from the 100bhp unit, like multi point injection and the variable length inlet manifold for more easy power. IF you do that, it would be useful to put it on the faq section here to help other people (like ME) in the furture. Mark
