I have come upon a bit of a problem. What it is is that i have
six nissan skyline injectors, the fuel rail and an audi 1.8t fuel rail
and i cant seem to get any combination to work and fit under or over
the lower part off the kjet induction manifold.

Does anyone have any pics of how they have fitted efi to there old k
jet and a description of how they done it or any ideas how i can do it.

dont know about the nissan injectors, but u can get some 440's for about 75 quid. these are perfect up to 300bhp+ .

converting from K jet to EFI is easy enough. if your going standalone (megasquirt, DTA etc...), rip out all the K-jet stuff, including engine loom. leave the fule pump and lines going to engine bay, as you will have to hook your new fule rail up to these. the K-jet fule pump is more than up to the job in terms of fuel pressure. then you will probably want to fit a crank sensor and trigger wheel for your standalone ECU to controll the ignition etc.. if your going to run digi one, you can just stick with your standard 16v K-jet distributor. you need temp sensor and a lambour probe (spelling?) in the downpipe from the turbo. you can get the parts to fit the sensors from VW. you need the blue temp sender and its holder to go on the side of the 16v head. same idea with standalone, but u fit different sensors, map sensor, throttle position sensor etc..

there might be alot more to it, when it comes to wiring up the G-60 ecu, but if its a mk2 your putting it in, i assume u can just use a G60 fuse box and everything else will hook right up...

this is the main reason im going to run emerald ecu on my mk1. i saw behind the dash of a mk1 G60 and it wasnt pretty, wires everywhere [:s]

i dont like too many wires [:$]

This is waht I did, BBM rail, 440`s (now at 4 bar), scirocco inlet, adjustable FPR.

It`s all coming to bits at the weekend for a tidy-up and engine breather mods, new plugs etc.

In the latest circuit driver dave walker has written about ditching the k-jet on his 924 turbo in favour of EFI and installing an intercooler infront of the radiator. Gained 15bhp on stock boost. He's now working on switchable maps for regular pump fuel and another for higher boost when using optimax.

couldn't do that with the old k-jet ;)

Yeah i am going to go standalone. So that means i will need the following:

    Coolant temp sensor

    lambda sensor

    map sensor

    throttle position sensor

    iat sensor

With regards to the crank sensor and trigger wheel where do i get that
from? Does that just wire straight to the ecu? Can i ditch the dizzy if
    i use that?

Keith that is one nice fuel rail you have there. Actually that is one nice setup in your engine bay.

I am wondering what to do know because i had the skyline injection
system and i took it in to work last night and cut it up. I now have
throttle bodies with eerything i need. They dont fit straight onto my
head but my mate is going to cnc me an adapter plate this weekend so i
might try that and see if i can get it to work. I have one question
though, well two really, for the oil for the turbo did everyone just
take a tap from the side of the head and two if i use the throttle
bodies will i need two throttle position sensors. I suspect i only need
one as whatever one bodie is doing the other is doing exactly the same.

    cheers ryan

Hera are some of the parts i have already bar the engine and turbo which is in my garage:

Or the potential throttle body setup once i have cleaned them:

I also see that there is a guy on ebay selling trigger wheels in sizes
4.5", 5.75" with 1/2" pilot hole or 5.75" ring gear style. Which one do
    i need?

    cheers ryan

The feed comes from the top of the oil filter housing ive just had some SS pipes made up for the oil and the return to the sump, I will take some pics later.

    trigger wheels

I just bought both and will tack the best one onto the bottom pully probably the 5.75 one

If you tap the oil filter housing you`ll need a restrictor, I took the oil feed off the back of the head (where the oil temp sender fits).

I`m not using an IC, just Water Injection fired from MS, its an Aquamist setup.

Doing some mods over the weekend for better breathing etc.

im running one of thoes top breathers. found it way into my pocket while walking round the scrappy one day. apparently its a good idea to let the head breath when putting boost into a 16v motor.

I`ve got another valvecover to go in at the weekend with a push-fit connector on it, taking the Beetle one off, you may want to fit 2 `o`rings on the bottom of the beetle breather as they leak past the vc, also it`s right on top of a cam lobe and I think this chucks oil straight into it?.

Im going to use the throttle bodies as my mate is cncing an adapter
plate up for me this weekend with it i will remove the throttle micro
switch from the 16v throttle body and mount it onto the skyline bodies.
After looking at it it would run the system with one switch.

Has anyone any pics of there car running with throttle bodies or twin carbs so i can have a look at the linkage on them.

I am going to get the trigger wheel on order and have already ordered
the sensor. Does this just line up with TDC on the crankshaft pulley?

I am also looking for a simplified wiring diagram for running this
system with megasquirt as i am having to wire in an o2 sensor and IAT
sensor and am just looking for a referance diagram.I think i have it
sussed but just want to make sure.Oh bar one thing what is a MAP sensor and where in the system does it go?

And then it is full ahead with the build and hopefully finish it for christmas.

I`d be tempted to graft a TPS pot on the bodies, the 16v microswitch is useless with MS, have a look on MSEFI.com for the wiring diagrams, basic setup is easy to wire in. If you can use the G60 2 pin temp sensor as they seem to be a lot better than the single spade sensore for some reson?

Probably better earths than the single pin ones trying to return a signal through layers of crud on the head. I'm also using a 2-pin clt sensor from the 9A that fits in place of the single spade ones on the side of the 16v head.

What is a TPS pot? I take it it is just the same as the switch? Which vehicle did they come off?

So i can just change the one pin CT sensor to the two pin. Sounds like a good idea.

Where do i put the MAP sensor? Is ot the Manifold Absolute Pressure
sensor? I take it then it goes on the manifold? Is this still the case
    if running throttle bodies?

    thanks

tps, goes on throttle bodie. measures throttle angle. you can get em and fit em, some about on ebay.

map sensor, just needs a vacume line from the manifold.

Can i use any tps and map sensor or does it have to be from a vw and
will it be ok just fitting one tps when it is two sets of throttle
bodies? this what i will be using below:

The map sensor is built into the MS, one TPS will be fine as they all open at the same time. I`ve got one off a Vauxhall to try and bodge on, also rigged a little voltage divider so I can use the 2 G60 switches for the time being (just for idle control and floodclear).
