TSR are the U.K importer of Wossner forged pistons and con rods. Wossner have many applications for the VAG range we are offering 10% off to all club gti members. We carry most of the VAG range in stock and can dispatch for next day delivery
I'm going to be after pistons for a 2.1 16v. I've found a con-rod option, which is a 159mm rod with a 20mm small end, allowing the use of 9A type pistons (better deck height than ABF, for a 95.5mm crank). Can you let me know what piston options and prices you have for a 16v with 20mm small ends, and what CR they'd get in a normal 2.0 engine (I'll work out the diff for the longer stroke engine). Ideally we're looking at 83 or 83.5mm bore, and I'm aiming to end up with a static CR between 11 and 12:1 Thanks
No Answer yet from TSR !! Mike H , I've been looking at JE for your application and probably look a better option than Wossner. cheers Brookster
Wossner 82.5mm ABF Pistons from TSR, i had in my engine achieved 13 : 1 compression with the KR Head on. Way too high for the K-Jet injection with standard ignition though.
What are you running at the minute? There are lots of things you can do flowed head, cams and throttle bodies are all options.
Sorry Mike Wossner only list pistons for the 9a engine which will give comp ratio of 12.3;1 with a 92.8 stroke these are available in 83.5mm. With the stroke crank you are using i think a custom piston will be a better option.
Thanks for getting back to me. That would give a CR close to 13:1 with the longer stroke, so I'll look for other options.
can you tell me the price for a set for an early 8v gti, I need to lower the compression to suit a turbo application. Its for an EV engined 8v gti
