Some people claim to fit 10cm/4" speakers into the dash of the mk2. I thought they were 3 1/2" or 8cm. Has anyone fitted 10cm speakers into the dash with no problems or alterations needed?
i think they are smaller than 100mm but could be wrong, may also depend on the speaker, and also who / where is was measured.
There again is was e-gay where peeps were selling the 10cm JBL gto's that fit in there. Its hard to find 8cm speakers, so though about 10cm. I'll measure it this weekend
Yep, i got the standard VW dash speakers (with some effort due to awkward positioning of screws!), and they are 2 screwed mounted 87mm speakers! They have a block connector on them, do these connect up to the kenwood or JBL replacements?
