    hey guys..

getting to the stage of changing my engine on my mk1 golf project..

come across a 1300 polo gt engine for a good price, i currently have a 1300 driver engine in my car... what would i need to fit the gt block?

    what increases would i gain?

    thanks

    It bolts straight in.

The engine will bolt straight in but you'll need an in-tank pump and an under car pump as the GT engine is digifant (assuming you want to keep the injection system and not go for carbs etc..) you'll also need to change the fuel lines to match.

The GT lump is 75BHP as standard as opposed to your 55BHP.

before you do that check if there is a fuel pump blanking plate on the back of the head and a pump drive lobe on the cam, some of the eariler engines were like that.
