   Im having trouble getting my mk1 1300 golf to idle using a pierburg/solex 34 PIC(T)-5 carb. Does ayone know the setting of(in turns from close) of the idle screw and the co2 screw??

   If you haven't got a Haynes manusl, download it here: http://www.moddin.org.uk/downloads/haynes.zip It has lots of info on the 2e3 carb. Good luck!
   
   Before you mess with any screws be sure that all the other bits are working properly, especially the autochoke!

   When you do make sure all electrical items on the vehicle are turned off also..
