Attempting to fit power steering to my '87 16V which never had it from factory. I've got hold of a rack and pump setup, but I'm missing the extra pulleys for the crank and water pump. I would greatly apreciate it if anyone has any of those parts for sale as I could get most of it new but it would cost about €300 so I'm not too keen to do that!
I believe these are the part number of what I'm looking for:
    027 121 031 A - Water Pump Pulley
    027 121 028 - Second Water Pump Pulley

026 105 243 C - Crank Pulley with 2 Pulleys for PS (Just need one of these 2)
    026 105 255 D - Additional Crank Pulley for Power Steering

Any help will be much appreciated.

026105243C is the damped crank pulley for an 8v, you just need 026105255D and fit it to your old 16v damped pulley :)

As I mentioned in the other thread, you can go to the late setup instead if you can find these parts:
051105255 - late crank PAS pulley
027121031 - late pas waterpump pulley (same as 16v non-pas pulley)
051145255 - late pas pump pulley

the late setup parts are also found on the corrado 16v which might help in your search

    Ok thanks.
    So updated parts list:
    027 121 031 A - Water Pump Pulley
    027 121 028 - Second Water Pump Pulley

    026 105 255 D - Additional Crank Pulley for Power Steering

Ideally I'd like to get the full crank pulley from a 16V with PS as I've just managed to break my crank pulley in a vice while attempting to separate the V pulley from the belt pulley.

Ah sorry, I meant the pulley for the timing belt with the ribs on it. Is it 16V specific?

Also, what are you using to look up part numbers?

ah the timing belt sprocket is 027105263B, its specific to 16v as its thicker

I use ETKA, which is what the dealers have. you can find various online versions I use http://www.realoem.com when I'm not at my PC :)

There may still be a full set on the hard shoulder of the M1 near Newcastle where my aircon vibration damper failed and sheared the lot off including the timing belt pulley. Can have them if you can find them boss.[:v:]

Got my hopes up there at the start! I'm able to get the timing belt sprocket and one of the water pump pulleys from VW Heritage, at a not too insane price, but the other parts are going for 160+ each on eBay. Don't suppose anyone knows someone breaking a 16V for parts or anything?
