    Folks,

What are the options with the 16v water outlet on the head, when fitting ITBs?

    A custom one?

Chamfer the std ABF plastic flange down and use gasket material when fixing?

    Any others?

    Cheers,

    Glen.

According to ETKA, the Corrado water outlet is part number 027 121 133 E and common to KR engined Golfs from '86'90.
    ABF outlet is 037 121 132 J.

Anyone know if the Corrado part is the same as the Golf part, as ETKA suggests?
Shouldn't be too hard to find a generic KR water outlet flange, if they are the same.

    Ahh...it's the up-down angle I'm struggling with.
I need the outlet to point down more...

My ABF outlet goes to the passengers side as it is...I just need it to point downwards a few more degrees.

Early KRs had an ally outlet which can be cut and welded. I expect Danster might have one in his shed, if you PM him.

Errr...Cannot check at the moment, but try Audi 80 ACE or 6A engine.

**Checked, it points in a direction similar to KR/9A part and the number is 053121133G.
Do not know it that will help though.

IIRC the 6A one has a boss for a fairly large temp sender in it.
The ABF one points down more than the KR one. As stated, KR to OS and ABF to NS.
I am sure there is a company that fabricates them to aid clearance issues. Might have been that lad from Vortex Xtrom?

Could be the same, but there were some on eBay a while back - tagged onto one of the threads about this in the TB section index.

    Edit: this was the seller

Nice - didn't know they did them. Where did you buy it & what gasket does it use? OEM or paper?

I got it from here, http://www.twminduction.com/Home/Home.html. It's a really nice piece that uses a factory o-ring. They don't list it on their website but you can contact them and get it.

Here's a couple pics of it with their 2000 series ITBs for the VW 16v.
