want to put 16x9 on a mk2 golf without arch trims, the wheels ill be getting are keskin klassiks kt1's and can get them in different offsets: 15, 25, and 30 ET, I want the wheels to poke slightly and plan to lower between 40-60mm, i will be rolling the arches but need to know what offset is the best for me, i know i could always use spacers to change it after,

    thanks.

With 9x16's people usually have et15. You can't have too high an offset as the wheel won't clear the suspension.

do mk2s have the same clearance as a mk3 does, because i know someone cleared everything with et22 on 16x9s, same for a mk2?

don't know if they'll have the same arch clearance as a mk3. but when i had my 9x16s they were ET15. (gives a phatter look as well!

you are going to have fun trying to do that mate!

    9x16's dont just 'fit'on.....

with the mk2's people can get away with cutting the arch lip away and putting g60 arches over the bodge.

If you want the non arch trimmed look i am afraid some flaring will be necessary mate!

big bucks, unless you are me!

they do rags.... it's just you are silly and wanted them on a cab! ;)

on a mk2 you can fit them without arch mods just don't expect it to look good!

9x16s only look good if you go low!!!

is this not an example of a car running 16x9, or 15x9? and them tucking in nicely, i just need to know the right offset for this and also to clear the suspension etc.

    cheers.
