Snowflakes, loved these in 14's on my old scirocco, such a great classic design (much nicer than the chrome ones!)
dont get me wrong, i love the chromes, but mine werent perfect and also the associated brake size issues
I dont suppose there are any identifying marks on the casting of the DCNF inlet manfifold or a hint on what tree to be barking up? Been searching for ages and its getting a bit tedious, The only one ive seen is a picture posted by you on another forum! Thanks for any help.
Ricky, looking is that the fun bit! All the clues are there chap- it took me a year or so to find the answer and 2 years to get all the bits
not really at the mo. I waiting for the Jetta to get back and then the Golf will get the paint damage repaired that was caused in the move to my new house. The house is still the main project but soon Ill soon have the new shed built, fill that with stuff and then Ill be able to get into the garage to find the car again. On the other hand I do have a nice new garden ; )
ive managed to unearth the car from the tons of junk in the garage!! I had to put the new wheels somewhere safe and out of the way, so where better than on the car. Its basically a shell, so not sat correctly. Originally I was going to fit the polished ATS Motorsport 6x15 wheels, so at that time I didnt really feel the need to roll my arches. The Calmasters and the ballon-esq tyres had me twitching......... but 8" under a completely standard arch, even with a modicom of stretch, is even more twitchy so glad I chose the greys and not the black style! More to come????.............eventually
a lot of stance work to do- i dont like them too low tho! The front looks miles out. Ill work on that side of things when its all back together. The Country will help me get the drivechain back together and as the previous owner was creating a showcar out of it, ill also be able to save some time by just swapping so bits over
so I made the journey to collect the Syncro the other weekend and boy was I impressed! Sie has outdone himself again! and finally in its new home for a while (maybe Ill actually finish this damn car!!)
Brilliant bones. I can tell you are from Derbyshire. If you have all of those GTI Eng. Catalogues still, then perhaps you might consider letting Justin use the images to make CGTI .pdfs, as he has done with my VWMS stuff? GTI Eng. are looking for old catalogues on their website! Regards, Dave.
