Hi there, got a 1998 Polo 6n 1.4 8v. Right the car has a high idle problem (circa 2.5k) most times, everything worked fine until i decided to stick my fingers in the carb to give it a little clean, this is where the problem started. Everything was fine before this and ran beautifully, now i know i touched the butterflys so i'm hoping the idle can be reset to cure this as i dont think it is the throttle body (i hope, i know these are prone for it) Just after i did this the car had new water pump and cambelt fluids etc, garage reminded me the temp sender doesn't work (never did but car ran fine) so where do i start, reset idle? New temp sender? Driving me nuts!

    Thanks in advance

    Adam
