The engine is a 2.0 8v x-flow from a "New Beetle" and it comes with a two-piece intake manifold. The upper part has a flap that looks like it varies the flow thru the intake. Further investigation shows that it's controlled by a solenoid linked to a couple of vacuum hoses. Does anyone know how this system works? And how I can keep the flap permanently open (as I won;t be running the original ecu/wiring)? Cheers
