2.0L PB + AGG starting trouble

    was it the cam or the dizzy timign that was out? also is the cam stock?

    if the cam timing was advanced then it could possibly give you a bit more low end grunt.

    cam is stock. It was a tooth out so I had to turn the pulley one tooth clockwise if you were looking at it from the cambelt end.

    eeeerrrrmmaahhh.... I THINK that means it was advanced a tooth, trying to figure out which direction on dzzy/cam is advance/retard boils my brain juices :lol:

    Remember to re-set the ignition timing after the cam timing has changed.

    If it does work better, you could always put it back, or look for a 2nd hand vernier pulley.

    Im pretty sure I sued the timing light after setting the cam. what does a vernier pulley do?

    just allows you to adjust the cam timing slighty, its in 2 pieces so you can move the cam forward & back without taking the belt off. usually used on lairy cams to move the power band, or on heavily skimmed/spacered heads to correct the cam timing.
