    Hi guys

wanting to do a conversion on my mk 3 soon

was going to go down the BAM route but the donor car is no longer a option for me (it was swapped for a S1 escort turbo)

the BAM seems to be very very expensive considering the miles some have done and i keep seeing the 2.0T for much less with only a few miles on the clock

question is, how hard is the conversion, what bits do you think ill need etc

really wanted to use factory management but will listen to other ideas

just a feeler is this to help me decide what route to go down, either 20vt or 2.0T FSI

    cheers

20vt would be far, far easier, 2.0T FSI would be epic, though

TFSI has been done and more people are starting to eye these up.

We need to get our heads around the engine architecture and the electronics.

That there is what you'd need for a conversion to a mk4 (except the clocks aren't needed).

I've got this conversion in my track car and its very well suited. The only problem is the whole can-bus system and getting that and the mk4 to work together. I don't understand the electrics side of things, apart from it's something to do with witchcraft, so left that to the garage to do.
