    If you will be spinning in excess of 7500rpm, then I too would suggest a stronger rod.

    Are you going to block off the 3 large oil drains on the back of the head? Timing belt?
    You will have to work out the compression ratio very carefully as the larger bore and longer stroke increase the swept volume dramatically. 20v head has 40cc chambers IIRC.

    Trigger wheel required or not? TDI crank has the trigger wheel option where as the IDI engines do not.

    Yes going to block of the rear 3 holes of the head
    I have a custom made timing belt
    I will be using the TDI crank with pick up wheel
    We have decided to go for 12.5:1 comp

    The diesel crank isnt a problem if its been balanced and knife edged.
