Looks awesome. Not a film surely? But looks like a slick BMW production well worth waiting for!

It is clearly the BMW PR machine at work, but if it's high quality, I'm sure it'll be enjoyable.

    Indeed!

Here was my attempt at a 'Ring documentary [:p] last year. I'd recognise those pitlane alarms anywhere!

    Mentalists!

    < puts expletives away >

You are seriously buying BMW marketing with your hard earned? I know consumerism has gone to pot, and people buy replacement mobile phones every week due to pre-engineered obselecence, but seriously

Fook that. I guarantee I will watch this for free, whether I take a crowbar in to a BMW dealership or grab a ripped copy off the net.

I watch 99.9% for free myself i just chose to want to own this myself and put some money into it hoping other similar docu-motorsport-films could follow one day, if we all did the same life would be boring.

Isn't a lot of car companies racing or rallying doing marketing in some form or another?

If it was VW putting it together following the Scirroco or the new polo would it be a different story?

I have easily spent more than this just for an old motorsport magazine or a for a few research pictures so doesn't seem that expensive to me.

Yes, but since when did the principle of marketing being free alter to being paid for? This is my sole point.

Mercedes Benz at Brooklands is free to get in. It is a glorified showroom (gross understatement) but it needs to be free, otherwise people will not go.

Using the aforementioned crowbar would then only be easier for me. If it wasn't available from the VW Motorsport press people in Germany, I would get it other ways
