I haven't run it yet. Still waiting for spark plugs. the dealers don't hold them in stock (yet they had a lupo grill on the shelf?!?!).

Should get it fired up tonight.

not sure if my camera can handle it, but I'll try.

I have .AVI's of my black one doing a burnout and then a 1/4 mile run with open downpipes if that will do?

Samco hoses will be here tomorrow, so Ill get those on straight away and measure them up for new stinless steel mikalor clamps.

Calipers need another lick of paint before I can fit those, but Ill get that done tonight.

Exhaust will just be a quick weld up bodge for now until I can get a proper one made.

And as soon as that ECU turns up it should hopefully run fine!

So, in 3 weeks Ive managed to take my 2.0 8v Corrado, fit a 2.9 VR6 engine, with lightened flywheel, gas flowed head (done by me), alloy crank pulley, 268 cams, Fidanza flywheel, all new timing chains, Helix clutch, 6 speed syncro gearbox, vibratechnics mount, ram air filter, VR6 subframe, rack, wishbones and rear axle, all poly bushed, including the front x member (which is seam welded too), fit new suspension all round, rebuild the driveshafts, fit lower and upper alloy strut braces, TAS top mounts, 288mm front brakes. Clean the inner arches and floorpan to concourse standard. Every single part Ive touched is either new, polished, or refurbished to as new.

Not bad going eh! My bank card is still smoking, but hopefully by Monday my tyres will be too. [:D]

A nice steady week ahead next week to fit the alarm.

    Phew! What a mission!
