I'm beginning the process of finding out how exactly I'm going to fit a 3.2 (BMJ code from an Audi A3) into a 1991 Golf Driver and thought I'd chuck together a post to gather up some information.

My first question is how much difference, externally, is there between the 2.8 and 3.2 litre engines between fit and wiring? Reason is if there's little to none then I'll look into more 2.8 24v conversion guides.

Thanks in advance guys and girls!

For engines originally fitted to 8P vehicles, you need to run the matching ECUs as older ME7.1.1 units are not compatible.

    I indicated why >>here<<.

If you do not have this ECU, do cater for a standalone ECU.
