Hi all, Seems to be the season of finding rust on my mk2! So today, whilst seeking out water leaks, condensation gaps, I noticed that the drivers side rear quarter seal , when pressed, sounded like crumbling metal and thus, bits of rust appeared Is there a repair panel available for this area? Thanks
I struggled to find panels or repair sections when I had this rot and resorted to buying a body chop from an eBay seller with a decent scene rep - which never showed up Might just be simple shapes / possible for a half decent body shop to fab + repair though, depending on where and how bad the rot is. Ended up selling the project when I lost storage space, hope you have better luck
I believe you can get an entire quater from VW classics but that would be expensive. Instead one of the breakers should be able to supply a cut for that area - are you on facebook?
