Guys, You who are into the 2.0L conversions can you help me out? Been on the hunt again for an old Audi "3A" Engine but have found an "AAD" I know its a 2.0cc as its from an "80" 1990-91 Cheers "RO" Question is? is it a short block like the "3A"? i dont want the taller block like the "2E". Anybody know?? CheersDomma.......
ETKA seems to show that "3A", "6A" and "AAD" all have the same crank and pistons that are all 82.5mm dia so i take it they have the same stroke hence the same lenth block. Don't remember the "6A" being in the short block group thought!!! Domma......
cheers Zak, That helps to confirm the block lenght. Any body running a "AAD" conversion. Looks like its the revised "3A" 2L 8V for Audi's. Not a mention of it on the "2.0L conversion FAQ though! Domma...........
domma theres an audi forum somehwre, cant remember at the moment but it lists all the audi engine codes and what they are, even includes stuff like ace code engines that dont get mentioned much. will let you know if i remember it.
