Hi all, I'm new to the forum and fairly new to VW's as well. Now i've recently acquired an 85 cabriolet with an EW 1.6 with 2E2. It's got allot of miles on it and it's gutless. Now I had originally thought about swapping in a 16v with twin 45's but having to change the whole wiring harness is more work than i'm interested in at the moment. So the plan is to find a 1.8 DX motor and drop it in. Now my question is will it really be that simple? Other than doing away with the injection in favor of a weber is there anything else i have to change? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
